Exfoliators & scrubs

Exfoliation is a key step towards maintaining healthy skin, and yet many of us miss out on this crucial step in our regular regime. Ageing skin requires assistance to maintain its youthful glow, by stripping back the excess top layer of dead skin that can build up, and which can leave our skin looking dull and lifeless. Oily and acne-prone skins need exfoliants for similar reasons, to help unclog the follicles and maintain healthy sebum levels. AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids) and BHAs (beta hydroxy acids) are both excellent exfoliants. We would generally recommend AHAs for anti-ageing, enlarged pores, and hyperpigmentation. BHAs are suited for spot-prone skin, with the added benefit of having anti-inflammatory properties.
